Frequently asked questions
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan supports up to 5 events per month and 50 players with full event registration and check-in, and your members can pay you by Venmo or cash. Card payments through Stripe start on Starter. No credit card required to sign up.
Will players find my club on Google?
Every club gets its own website at yourclub.bamgoodtime.com, on every plan, including Free. It shows your upcoming games, and Google can find it, so a player who searches your club's name can land right on your calendar. Public clubs are also listed in our club directory. In September 2026, Google sent visitors to more than 280 club websites on Bam Good Time. Private clubs, on Starter and Pro, stay out of search on purpose. A custom domain of your own comes with our white-label Enterprise plan.
How does annual billing save money?
Starter annual is $200/year, which is $28 less than 12 months at $19. Pro annual is $525/year, which is $63 less than 12 months at $49. Roughly a 12% discount on either plan.
Do you charge transaction fees on payments collected from members?
Bam Good Time adds no markup on Stripe's processing fee. Payments flow directly from members to your Stripe Connect account, on Starter and Pro alike.
What counts as a player?
A player is anyone on your club roster: everyone you imported from a CSV, invited by email, or who signed up on your club site. It is not only the people who bought a membership, and the count is across the whole club, not per event.
Can I move from Free to Starter or Pro later?
Yes. You can change plans any time from the admin dashboard, and the new plan's features and limits start right away. Moving up to a higher paid plan charges the difference for the rest of this billing period now. Moving down to a lower paid plan refunds nothing, and the lower price starts on your next billing date. Canceling back to Free is different: you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I run a private club?
Private clubs are available on Starter and Pro. Private clubs hide your subdomain from search engines and require a member account to view events, rosters, and payments.
What is Mahjic Verified and is it part of these plans?
Mahjic Verified is a separate $30/year individual subscription at mahjic.org. It adds a blue check on the player leaderboards plus identity-verified ratings. Unrelated to club tiers.
Do I need Pro to run a tournament?
Yes. Tournament creation requires the Pro or Enterprise plan. Pro unlocks multi-round tournaments with automatic pairings, live standings, and unlimited events. Free and Starter clubs can upgrade any time from the admin dashboard to start running tournaments.
What happens if I exceed the player or event limit on Free or Starter?
Players can always sign up and join your club, even past your plan's player limit. Once you are past the limit, new events are blocked until you upgrade. Your existing events keep running.
